It has come to that difficult time picking a daycare. Has your child been around other children before? Have they been away from you for extended periods of time? What do you want your child to get out of daycare? These are all important questions to ask, especially when deciding where you will be bringing your child for potentially the next ten to twelve years.
Step to follow
The first thing you need to decide is what you want your child to get out of daycare. This can range from educational to developmental work. Figuring this out is going to determine what daycare you want to look into. You will also need to decide if your child will be at the daycare full or part time.
Next, I would recommend looking what daycares are nearby your house or place of work, whichever would be most convenient. Look through the various daycare’s websites and see which ones you like from what you see. From there, a visit to the daycare is in order. You can either bring your child with you, or go on your own the first time. If your child has never been away from you before, I would recommend going by yourself. If your child is fine being around other kids without you, then bring them along!
